tried today a special solution,
you never can tell… ![]()
so here was the idea:
as some javascripts can use the iphone/MobileSafari API to retrieve location like in this example:
http://bemoko.com/blog/iphonegeo
(check it with the iPhone obviously..)
well if i could get this code working on the lockScreen it would have been easy to retrieve the location weather…
unfortunately, this solution does not work: the phone gets pretty unstable, let’s say completely frozen!
this is (i think) because the API tries to ask for autorisation for using the location…at last i had ssh working so i could change back and respring before i had to reinstall all the iPhone!
let’s keep on searching!!

oh, thats sad. i was looking for exactly this idea for quit a long time, and allready thaugt i am the only one thinking it would be cool to have a location based weather and not only by a city called before.
