SHOULD be ok, since i checked and rechecked theme displayed icons with weatherApp diplayed icons in 15 differnt countries from African ones to European and American oh an Tokyo (obviously? lol)

for some “why the hell technology is that way?” reason,
PUSH notificatios sometimes got arriving in a strange way..
so i made a workaround that i tested on Firefox to be working, but Firefox isn’t iPhone
so please report the way it works..
Still you have the debug version to make screens when there is something that doesn’t work the way it should:

push works fine and so does weather (although I liked the older icons better). I noticed that when you have a missed call you can’t collapse it all the way because the time the call was missed gets in the way. I haven’t tried appigo yet but looking at your code I need the older appigo plugin.

This is the one you want to use because it’s the latest version that’s being updated. “com.vividboarder.lockinfo.TodoPlugin” The other one (cx.ath.jakewalk.TodoPlugin) is the older version and it doesn’t support native rendering and is therefore not being updated anymore.

Seems to work just fine and looks good to boot. Still think the icons are off a little but not much. I’m currently getting a cloudy with rain indicator whereas the native app shows it as cloudy with snow. The other icons are matching up pretty well, but I’ll keep my eyes open as the days go on for more issues.
I do find that the theme doesn’t always load and I sometimes have to unlock and relock the phone to get it to show, but small issue.

its really complete, but as you notice there are still some icons missing.
i’m not against evolution, it’s just, that beetween “freezing drizzle” and “drizzle” there sometimes just isn’t any icon

I think that there is an enormous difference between a simple theme like the one i made (furthermore i did just adapt an existing one!)
and creating an application that renders all this data in a native way.
Application is harder to develop (that’s why it’s taking time i think)
but allows more further developments and possibilities (ex: delete mails directly from the app or actually call the “missed call” contact by pressing it)
Really, if elements comes out I think i will switch to it (if it’s as stable as lockInfo
)

I just updated the beta with a version near to release to see if there are bugs in that way.
it’s not the debug version, which shows raw data..
but the javascript is compressed to make it smaller and faster to render..

I couldn’t figure out why I don’t get anything from todo plugin, until I upgraded to the latest version of “todo”
Now all I get is “undefined” with correct due time and date. Any suggestion what might be wrong? do I need to change the configuration of the todo app?

Works nice. The weather seems to be right now.
The Push pluton is displayed properly just not cleared when checked. But I know that is something the plugin needs to do, nothing you can change.
If you can make it optional to have the calendar items collapsable and maybe the number of items displayed, I would be completely happy
Right now I edit the files myself with every release, it’s no problem
Next I will try to test the todo plugin, if I can find the right one to download.

I see the same thing StarSoft is talking about. If you get a push and go to the app it doesn’t get cleared. Also, todo has the same problem that calls had. When you collapse all the last items time still shows.
I just got to congratulate you, this has turned out to be the best lockinfo theme by far. you’ve managed to take an HTML theme that pulls it’s weather using the native weather plugin. GREAT WORK!

so you mean that 4 = “-” ? the default? and High=1, normal=2..

Are you sure the 235_teeh_BETA.theme.zip is you latest version ?
The newest files are dated 13-1-2010 12:03 but in your blog of today you are talking that you did some code tonight, that should be the night from 14 to 15-1-2010.

What Geo said is right. The date and time format is too long and is displayed below eachother expanding the div making it too high to fit in the fixed values you have set for every item.
When collapsing the category there remains a white space.

I was looking at an original weathericon theme and i know why the weather icons didn’t work before. It seems weathericon uses yahoo weather and thats why we got the wrong image when using apple weather. Looking at the icon theme I see that certain icons (#34,44, etc) have more than one icon depending on the time of day. Example would be 34_day.png and 34_night.png. So under certain conditions this can be wrong unless you either code it to use day/night or use a time generic icon.

secondly, i’m not sure of all this: if you notice the weatherApp changes background color (blue-violet) for day and night,
that might be the only reason for the night day parameter to be there..

I have the images for one of the weather icon themes. It has all the images including day and night extras. I would imagine that you only have two choices to make with regards to day/night codes, pick one and see if you’re lucky

someone told about taking in count plugins preferences like “max tasks shown” for todo,
this is very simple to implement, problem is:
if you set the plugin to show 2 task max, the plugin will return only 2.
so you won’t be able to “load more” in lockinfo with this theme..

the theme already has some settings for max todos/twitters…
in config.js,
with those, theme shows only the number set there bot adds a load more bar that shows more when clicked.
(notice that if you tell plugin to show max 2 it will still show max 2, even if config.js says 5)
Which option do you prefer??

also I don’t know when you upload a new version as you use the same link name/filename. It would be helpful if you edit your post saying when newer version was added and maybe a beta version number. It would be easier for you to troubleshoot or know if you’re getting duplicate bug request. by the way did you upload your latest version yet?

you don’t need to change the file name then. Just add a change log to your post. Example “update @ 10:00. fixed xyz bug” Trust me it’ll be easier for you because different people are starting to get different versions.

Lockinfo 2.0 works fine with your theme. I’m using it now. 2.0 has some nice features like email preview from lockscreen and the homescreen option is a lot more stable now.

I prefer option 2. While I agree it would be nice to edit preferences in lockinfo, I really like the load more option and having complete control vs just the choices listed in lockinfo. For example, I have several email accounts on iPhone and max choice of 20 vs being able to choose 40 is great.

For the day night parameter, couldn’t you use the clock.
Let’s say 19:00 is starting the night, 06:00 is starting the day. Maybe with a variable defined in the config, so it can easely adapted to the preferences of the user.

I have 2 small problems:
- The colors of my calendar don’t match, all items are given the same color (bright green)
- Notifications (push) don’t disappear after opening the app that received them (whatsapp), they keep showing on the lockscreen.
Any way to resolve these issues ?

What’s exactly the deal with the night/day parameter? It is working for me. Yersterday it turned to night mode at the right time (the big icon sun turned to a moon). Am I missing something?

The calendar items only have a different when you use multiple calendars. The iPhone calendar only will show green dots, if sync with another calendar you will see those items have different color dots.

Is it possible to have a button that clears the notifications history? Also a refresh button for the weather would be nice.
Other cool things would be:
- the icon of the application near the relative notification
- touching the notification opens the application after the unlock (exactly how the popups work)

I’m using multiple calendars, but still i only see green dots.
With the default lockinfo screen (without the theme) I see the colored dots.
Not sure how to fix this…
I definitely support a ‘clear notifications’ button, it is kind of annoying to have old messages on that screen…

The clear notification button would be nice yeah and possible to implement. I think the weather refreshes when you open your weather app, but not sure. Don’t think the weather plugin can be forced to refresh with only html or javascript. As all what happens in this theme is that the information given out by lockinfo (and it’s plugins) is changed in view by html and javascript, nothincg can be controlled with it i think.
The other two changes i think are not possible with only html either. This is why the real Elements app would come in handy. Otherwise ame235 needs to include icons for all the applications which use push (or a couple and one default when an icon is missing). But starting an app through html is not possible besides i think Facebook as it uses some sort of links in the contact-list to start up, but not sure those work in html.

Cool, the new lockinfo can delete email and sms’s! Will it be hard to implement in the theme?
Can i ask you guys if you can move twitter to the bottom? It stays on top of the other plugins even if i reorganize it at the bottom.
I’m having problems with the mail now, it doesn’t show up even if i have new emails. Can it be related to lockinfo 2.0?
Other cool things would be a refresh button to download new emails

StarSoft is completely true, i removed the (onclick) refresh for the weather as the data recieved is still the same, until it changes…
so the plugin decides when there is new data.. Well if you really whant a button i can make it, but it don’t think it will refresh faster.

i think there are more important bugs than those ones.. I still have something like 20 main bugs…
One of them: sms DATE, returns an absurd value. like in year 2041…and that must be the plugins fault, so no sms sent time…
i don’t remember who told me about a scrolling problem, but since i installed Appigo i have that problem,
and it’s annoying!!!

It’s looking great. I see you added the todo priority icons. It looks very polished. You managed to get out the collapse bug and you adjusted the fonts. I’m still looking it over but haven’t found any problems. I have to say it appears near perfect now.
BTW, I’m glad you used a different link name. It makes it easier for us to know when it’s updated.

The default LockInfo shows a dot that corresponds to a specific calendar.
This team shows a dot corresponding to the type of appointment. (Birthday, all day, appointment)
Personally I also prefer a dot that corresponds to a specific calendar. With the exception of a Birthday, that may be another icon, like a cake.
