i’m in a holiday, i know i know…ishouldn’t work.. i know. i know..
BTW,
- solved all the respring issues
no respring needed anymore. all setting changes are applied immediately.
- adding 2do plugin support.
- trying to make colors of calendars match original calendar color
- adding a completely different css style (i think white would be perfect in all the snow here.)
all this is already working on my phone, but as each time i released something it wasn’t stable…
this time i’ll test it out for 3 days at least before releasing.
(donators can always ask for it obviously!!)

Thanks for the great and customizable theme. I use the german language and I would like to see some things in 2.0 or the following release:
– Zero filled dates: It looks a little bit odd without the zeros, so for the German language a full dd.mm.yy looks better. From 5.2.10 to 05.02.10 for instance.
– Line break between date and time in the mail list: Another odd looking thing, for one mail everything fits in one line, for another a line break is added due to a long date. Maybe not needed when using dd.mm.yy dates.
– Show only one date for calendar items that happen at the same day: For instance if I have a date tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm, the lockscreen should show me 31.01.10 10:00 am – 03:00 pm and not 31.01.10 10:00 am – 31.01.10 03:00 pm
What do you think about these ideas?

The date notation you can change at the strings/language.js (Germany is probably du.js). There is a notation_date_short, look at http://php.net/date which notation you need.

Good news, can’t wait to see what you done with it
I noticed tho that I still have the scrollbug at times, but it disappears when I open the calendar or weather. I don’t know what you did last release to get rid of it, as it is much less happening then the one before that.
Mind sharing what was causing it or what you did to fix it?
Anyway, don’t work too much during your vacation, It’s still a hobby, treat it like one also

Yes, red dot should be the color of the calendar you set in the event. so, if you prefer another color just change the color off the default calendar you use.
i have 4 calendars with 4 different colors showing the right way.
got the todo trick.

Thanks for the Beta, but i have one weird problem…
I have to note that I dont use winterboard and still use 1.14.
But when I respring my phone nothing shows up on my lockscreen, it is all empty.
When I enter the settings of LockInfo and don’t change anything, just look at the settings and go back the lockinfo shows up.
I didn’t look through the code yet so cant say what it is.
What DaveP means is that the blue dots are in the middle of the calendar item i think, i have the same thing.
They are not on the left side, think you placed the class of the dots in the wrong table cell or added the background to the wrong css class, but like i said I didn’t look at the code yet.
This probably will result in a double post of me, but you are used to it
In case you know what causes the empty screen, let me know then i don’t have to go through every part. As you know the code fomr head and for me its all new

that problem might be due to the delay in loading the scripts..
i set a 150ms delay for “drawing everything” maybe setting it higher will reduce the risk of empty screen but obviously delay the display/refresh of theme.
and for the calendar problem, got it.
it’s because i set the theme to be ok with “Separate Times on left” set to off…
It also seems like when switching from a theme to another (235teehanlax and snowhite)
some things get messed up, because of a wrong css file.
(respring fixes that for the moment, but will be solved)
will make mods.

Everything works great for me, only the calendar section shows some difficulties.
.
When you choose the “separate Time on Left” dots are going eveywhere on the screen.
With the option Separate Days, there’s only blanks in the headers.
But no respring pb!! The most imporatant step for me

Wow I guess my phone is much slower then yours loading those scripts… I put it now on 5 seconds delay, guess I can tweak it to a little less.
I figured out it didn’t load init() and I tried everything, I doubled the delay you put in there but it didn’t work, so I figured that wasn’t it. :-s

Uhh and 2 suggestions:
1. The ability to move the sections around. So that you can fx. move Calendar on top.
2. The ability to only show the start time off an event in the calendar insted af both start and end time. I think it gets a little crowded with both start and end time.

1. that is not possible with the “plugin” but
still is possible in the config.js file by moving in sections array.well, what could be done is: in settings instead of switching on and off sections, set them a value from 0-10 with 0: off, 1 to 10 position from high to bottom.
Is this a good solution for you all?

@ame235: ah yes just read the FAQ. Sad to read you can’t implement email previews or mark as read yet. Here’s hoping someone can show you how! Bit confused tho, if it’s part of lockinfo and this is a theme for lockinfo, because this is non native theme that’s what makes it not possible?

Ame: Sounds great with that solution of moving the diffrent plugins up and down. And absolutly great that you will add the option to remove end time.

Actually he aims at the “fast & reliable” part of his application, not the “look & feel”.

Nice to see you worked out the biggest problems. I still have that not loading thing going on. I’ll go test different loading methodes to see if I can get rid of it without the 5 seconds delay.
There seems to be an alignment problem with the calendar also. The description text looks too high for “normal events”, the bullet (dot) too low for “all day events”.
I fixed it in the last version to reduce the text size as I like it better when it’s smaller.
Also the Header text of the days in the calendar looks too high. Put a couple of vertical-align: middle or bottom in your css and it should look fine.
The relative dates in the todo plugin need a nbsp or a br as right now they are separated in a weird way (at least in expired items, (6d 1h ago)).
When having “Display relative times”: off, shouldn’t the calendar relative times be hidden also (tomorrow, 2 days, 1 week).
And you can add a switch in your settings for “var calendarCountToday = true;”
That’s it for now, will report back when found more

Wierd I am using Lockinfo Version 2.0.1-3 and all is working here on a 3gS, hmmm

Hi ame235,
So far everything is working ok (your version 1.9-2). I have upgraded LockInfo to latest (2.0.1-3), I have also downloaded the new LockWeather plugin. So far no crashes.
Here’s a few things I would like to see for aesthetics:
Times on Left:
If Event is an All-Day event, I would like to see “all-day” following the color dot
I also second an option to turn off “Show End Time” as it starts getting to “busy” looking
Looking at the original screenshot of the Teehan-Lax concept for this theme I would LOVE to have an option to show the start time as such such (here’s the link to the photo of what I’m talking about:

As you can see in the picture the start time is in bold with AM/PM in normal font-weight and slightly Grey…I WOULD LOVE THIS as an option if possible
Mail Times
As with the Calendar Event times I would like to see and option for time received in bold font but for mail received a day ago (2 days ago etc…) to have that date as normal type font.
Would it also be possible to have the calendar times and email times line up in column view?
Again this is just for aesthetics of the theme to make it look more like the original concept. I fully understand this is all based on limitations of LockInfo and such. I have been looking through the js files trying to understand the coding to get things to look a certain way but I am NOT a programmer and my understanding is very limited but I have been able to change certain things to make look more like the original.

I had a REALLY scary experience before.
I have installed your beta and then i upgraded to the latest Lockinfo and all my contacts disappered ?!?.
Not a big problem since i just synced my phone 2 days ago and they all came back after another sync. But still pretty freaky.

Idea for the next steps.
You know that you can have different colors for different activities (work, private and so on in iPhone calendar) so it could be nice (this is something similar to what ivoyage posted probably) to have bullets list in calendar section according to that of iphone calendar.
I’m not sure that I was sufficiently clear.

Dear Ame hi. I hope that you enjoy your holiday. However all bad things happen when exactly one is on holiday. (Murphy’s Law perhaps?).
I have been using the latest version of the theme and everything was fine till yestereday I updated the lockinfo. Theme’s weather is no working any more I am afraid.
Could you advise me what to do? I have also made a js in Greek Language if you are interested in.

Hi again
I would like to add a another change request regarding the German language file for 2.0: On the expandable calendar and weather info the day names are three characters long, but the german regular shorting would be two chars. Could you please add these, too?
And there’s a bug on my calendar: The order of the date names above is absolutly wrong, It reads monday, thursday, sunday, wednesday, saturday, thuesday and friday. I didn’t check the de.js file for this, but please have a look at your 2.0 codebase. If you want I can send you an updated de.js file this evening.
@StarSoft: I know where to change the date types but I would like to suggest it as the future theme default.
