Some asked to have a screenshot of the Snowhite style
This style is completely optional, it’s just because there is so much snow out there!!
and also in order o allow simple css mods to you.
now what has been done:
//RSS Plugin,
ok it’s now fully integrated.
Small bug: the rss doesn’t show “completely” 2px closed on start.. this is becaus some rss feeds have images and stuff in them, cannot do anything)
solved.
//2Do integration:
done, fully integrated..even if the plugin seems messy..
for example date is in todo.priority
and priority (which does not work) is in todo.due.
will send mess to vividboarder.
//still some more small fixes.
loading issues – thnx for helping StarSoft!
//languages, modded nl.js file according to both versions i recieved.
received the greek version. added.
I will send you the link to new version asap.
i’m still traveling…

February 2nd, 2010 at 14:20
WOW! Looks completely different in the Snow version. Kinda makes tou wonder why nobody asked for it….Keep up the good work! Looking forward to an official release!
February 2nd, 2010 at 14:29
Looks great !!!
I love it for my white 3GS.
February 2nd, 2010 at 14:41
What about LockInfo 2.0 support?
February 2nd, 2010 at 14:44
// Absolutely no bugs with lockinfo latest version by now.
but keep in mind that this still is a NON-native theme.
(no bugs doesn’t mean full support)
February 2nd, 2010 at 14:56
February 2nd, 2010 at 15:57
will you be posting the link here or sending to donators first, thanks for the great work cant wait to see RSS work:)
February 2nd, 2010 at 17:05
Woohoo, I’m famous
I’m not sure what the problem is with the RSS feeds but i’m sure there is a solution for it. Probably use some regular expressions to filter out any tags that cause problems.
But we’ll look at it when you release it, there is a solution for everything
I like this snow-white theme much better as what you has included before. And I bet it looks awesome on a white iPhone.
February 2nd, 2010 at 18:22
Keep up the good work Ame….waiting for the link…..
Do you know a good theme for the snowhite infoscreen?
February 2nd, 2010 at 18:39
Although I adore the original theme, am not quite too keen on this “snow white” version if I am being totally honest. Of course this is a personal opinion – lookwise, but nice to see RSS plugin implemented on this new release.
Keep up the good work…
February 2nd, 2010 at 20:11
Weather problem solved for me. Thanks for assistance Ame. Keep up the good work Georgios
February 2nd, 2010 at 21:38

February 2nd, 2010 at 22:35
ok resolved it, forgot to install weathericon plugin ^^
February 2nd, 2010 at 22:48
in the last version (the last you released in cydia) the calender showed up when you tapped on the weather. now there appears the five day weatherforecast. how can i change back to calendar?
February 2nd, 2010 at 23:47
ok resolved it again, just tap on the clock. sorry for spaming around. sometimes i should test and then post, its just because v2 is so amazing^^
February 2nd, 2010 at 23:59
i also do that sometimes..
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:15
Will this update be released as a link here, or as a download on cydia?
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:28
It will be released on cydia..
but for the moment only donors are playing with this upgraded toy.
Actually, i just posted latest 1.9-3 to all you donors out there..
i hope you’ll enjoy it and appreciate i sent it before going away
I’ll be unavailable until Friday, maybe more if partying goes wild XD
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:32
Cool, so does the latest 1.9-3 contain the RSS implementation ?
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:33
yup it does, and also 2Do and some other things…
as you can read in the post just on top of this page
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:36
Cool, so a donation should get me instant access to the lastest beta ?
February 3rd, 2010 at 00:48
You are too fast for me to ignore you LOL!
So i’m leaving in 10 mins,
i have no automatic donation system… If i’m available i CAN send, otherwise, friday
February 3rd, 2010 at 01:24
Well, cya in a few days
Here is my buglist so far:
- Notifications category gets hidden after clearing notifications.
- Add in settings which section should be collapsed on startup.
- Tiny bug: When section is displayed but empty arrow points up. When clicking it It will switch to down, but cant be switched back up. Not sure what happends wehen item gets filled when arrow is switched.
- Vertical allignment of calendar items is a bit wrong. (see pic)
- Add line breaks in RSS articles. (Not sure if plugin allows that)
- Relative dates in Todo plugin are messed up.(see pic)
Here is a screen that will explain it a bit better: http://twitpic.com/11346l
I think you miss the alignment of the calendar items as you don’t use the default font. Or is it only me who has that problem? Beta testers let hear from you
February 3rd, 2010 at 02:54
Hey all beta testers.
I just got a mail from Ame235 about the post above this.
He doesn’t have the calendar problem I have, even with the default font. So we need to figure out what is the problem or that I am the only one with this problem…
It might be a difference between various things, he uses a 3GS with Winterboard and LockInfo 2.
I use a 3G without Winterboard and on LockInfo 1.0.14… So let us know if anyone of you has the same problem as me, If noone has it I will take it as a bug to be fixed in the custom version I use.
So lets hear from you
February 3rd, 2010 at 03:15
No problem here, 3gS the last download of Lockinfo 2. something and also RSS works great so far
February 3rd, 2010 at 03:18
All you need to add is the ability to click on a story on RSS or Twitter and open in Safari GREAT WORK thank and enjoy your vacation
February 3rd, 2010 at 05:44
In the current version (not 2.0), I’m unable to re-order the segments. I’ve edited the config.js and changed the order in the Sections area, but they never change order after I respring.
Is there something else I need to edit?
(Also, is 2.0 going to allow you to re-order the sections from within the settings? That’d be awesome if it did.)
Love the theme and all the work you’ve done. This theme alone is the reason I’m going to buy LockInfo.
February 3rd, 2010 at 06:46
Is the “wrong-day-order”-bug in calender fixed in V2?
February 3rd, 2010 at 07:15
I keep getting the error ” respring device ” at least 5-10 times a day after the latest update. Is there something that is causing this? Or is there a way to fix this?
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:35
anyone can host the files for ame235 first rather than waiting till friday?
February 3rd, 2010 at 12:37
@Kk
just donate and you ll receive a link to download. So no wait till Friday then.
He spent so much time so why not donate a little?
Just my 2Cents
René
February 3rd, 2010 at 13:05
@joypunk
v2.0 is allowing a rearrange of items through the settings of Lockinfo.
@DaveP
This might only work when you use it as springboard page and not from the lockscreen. I doubt the phone allows you to start safari from the lockscreen without modifications.
@witchbender
Yes it will be fixed.
@Daveb
This is a known problem from the last release. It seems to be fixed in v2.0.
@all
I don’t know if this version will be released on Friday, that’s nowhere being said.
Ame235 is on his way home now (i think) and on Friday he will be available again to send out the beta versions to donators and answer questions. So either way if you donate within these few days or not, you will always have to wait till at least Friday.
And the beta is not a beta for nothing, so don’t expect a fully working version of the theme just because you donated. It is there to be tested by a limited amount of ppl and prevent comments like “my weather shows a question mark, this thing is bugged man!!”
To the ppl with big problems, try to find an older version, those seem to be working fine too. The thing is that Ame235 has been rewriting everything from scratch the last couple of releases, introducing a whole group of new bugs with it. This is because of some major bugs needed fixing and the settings plugin. This rewriting shouldn’t be needed in the future releases and he can start focusing on fixing minor bugs and implementing more plugins without problems.
February 3rd, 2010 at 14:38
Ok did notice a problem this morning the RSS feed does update the feed like on CNN but it shows 6pm last night as last update which I think is wrong, not sure if this is related to this theme maybe someone can help me figure out what is wrong, thanks
February 3rd, 2010 at 16:51
Hey ame235
Send you a minor donation for your excellent work with the theme
Hope to recieve the beta from you before friday
February 3rd, 2010 at 17:39
@Ame: It seems RSS is not working for me. 2Do works great but I can’t get the RSS feeds to work. Pls help.
February 3rd, 2010 at 18:01
Make sure you go in cydia and donwload the RSS for Lockinfo first, then go into settings and choose RSS and setup the ones you want to appear. It seems to work for me but the Time does not update
February 3rd, 2010 at 18:08
@davep
it could be that the theme shows the time wrong but I doubt that. Might be that the plugin didn’t get to fetch the rss feed properly or the rss feed tells you tje news was posted at 6pm but the page (rss) wasn’t updated at that time.
I doubt it is the theme that caused the problem but keep an eye on if it happened more often.
If it’s an error in the theme it would show all the times wrong.
February 3rd, 2010 at 21:22
So it would be nice if it would be scrolled to the top to I can quickly check the time. Right now I have to scroll to the top if I’ve scrolled down reading all my rss feeds.
February 3rd, 2010 at 22:13
Guys, while I like all the new features I got the feeling that I am the only one noticing the alignment problem with the calendar entries.
Can anyone of you guys fix this?
I actually deactivated the e-mailpreview because it bugs me that much.
Do slightly soften the problem I installed a different font. I does not look that bad anymore but it still is not aligned properly.
Thanks, I had to get that off my chest.
Regards from Switzerland,
kl1wdr
February 3rd, 2010 at 22:21
@Eikoo
Tap the titlebar in top of your screen. That will take you to the top of the lockscreen, this also works for most apps on the iphone.
@kl1wdr
Please look at the post i made at the start of this article (http://www.ame235.com/ame235/2010/02/02/v-2-00-progress/#comment-1258).
Is this the bug you have also (check picture: http://twitpic.com/11346l)?
If so which iPhone you use? 3G or 3GS?
Which Lockinfo version and you use Winterboard yes or no?
We are thying to find the cause of this bug, I also thought I was the only one with this problem.
February 3rd, 2010 at 22:54
@davep: RSS works when the theme is disabled in Winterboard, so the standard Lockinfo theme works with the RSS feed but the AME theme doesn’t show the RSS. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Could someone give me an RSS url (that works for him) to test the RSS Plugin? So the correct url I fill in to the plugin. Thnx
February 3rd, 2010 at 23:03
@StarSoft
Ah yes, that’s it….you already mentioned exactly what I thought. Thanks a lot!
I am using it on a 3GS with the latest LockInfo-version.
February 3rd, 2010 at 23:10
I’d rather have it default to the top with out hitting anything other then the home button.
February 4th, 2010 at 00:41
@Carlo Eussen
Ahh you are not a beta tester. Only the latest beta (which donators have alone) has RSS support. Have patience till the new version gets released,
@Eikoo
We all have wishes that can’t be implemented. Learn to live with it…
@kl1wdr
Ouch. You also use winterboard or you installed the theme without it? Because if you do use winterboard then we really don’t know what is causing it…
@ame235
When you get home, maybe you should think about some private board for beta testers only, this is getting confusing…
February 4th, 2010 at 00:47
@Starsoft: I am à beta tester. But the rss just doesn’t work. I tried the rss in section nr 1 and even in 10 (now you know i have the latest release).
February 4th, 2010 at 05:59
I’ve discovered another couple of minor bugs:
a) The weather here recently was such that both the high and the low temperatures displayed at the top were in the negative double digits (e.g. L:-15 H:-12 was displayed). With this many character, the high for the day was displayed on a second line which was displayed on the break between the weather and the other items.
b) If LockInfo is configured to display empty items, when using the “clear” button on a notification, the entire Notifications section disappears.
February 4th, 2010 at 14:38
Q: Refreshing the weather icon
One question please to any one that knows the possible answer.
The weather icon how does it refresh itself? how can we refresh more quickly ? Some times it stays the same for quite some time !!
Thanking you in advance
Georgios Greece
February 4th, 2010 at 14:41
ADD’ON
I use both AccuWeather and Iphone default wheather on my 3G and wish to refresh with AccuWeather more frequently. Is it possible? Thanks again. Georgios Greece
February 4th, 2010 at 17:07
@StarSoft
I was using Winterboard until this morning but now I deactivated the theme in there.
Here’s how it currently looks like:
http://250kb.de/HAQ8gku
I outlined the problem with the two red lines. I hope you can see what I mean…
February 4th, 2010 at 19:00
Sorry, but I gets rss feeds simply not to runs. I`m a Beta-Tester and have Lockinfo 2.0.2.1 and RSS Plugin 1.0.0-0 for Lockinfo (Native) installed.
RSS is activated and Feed-Url is entered. Simply no message comes on the screen.
can someone help?
Bye
Ray
February 4th, 2010 at 22:21
@Ray:
I have the same problem. No RSS.
February 4th, 2010 at 22:49
RSS Works correctly on my 3GS.
Here is what i did to get it working:
1. Make sure that lockinfo is the latest version.
2. Install RSS Plugin for Lockinfo (via Cydia or Rock)
Within the Lockinfo -> RSS feeds, try setting up the ame235 rss feed to see if it works.
1. The feed url is: http://www.ame235.com/ame235/feed/
2. Make sure RSS is enabled.
Test the RSS feed WITHOUT the Winterboard theme first!
The reason to do this, is to assure that the RSS url is working as expected.
If the feed shows up, everything should be ok! Enable the winterboard theme again and see the magic happen.
If the feed does NOT show up, check all the steps as mentioned above, and be absolutely sure the RSS url is spelled correctly!
February 4th, 2010 at 23:07
@StarSoft and @kl1wdr
About the calendar alignment problem, i managed to fix this by editing the CSS file. I noticed that especially the calendar dot was out of alignment.
In the “calDot” segment,
edit the top to 16px. This aligns the dot correctly.
In my case, it looks a lot better.
But i also noticed that the time and calendar event is slightly out of alignment, im currently looking in to this, as I have a feeling that its a CSS problem.
February 5th, 2010 at 00:12
@XereX: Disabled theme in Winterboard, RSS works flawless…..Enabled theme in Winterboard, no magic
Must be another problem.
@Ame235: New problem, 2Do plugin is updated in Cydia, now I have a date issue with no dated todos. It shows a date in 1970 even if I don’t have a date filled in.
February 5th, 2010 at 00:19
@Carlo Eussen
Within the Lockinfo plugin “235_Teehanlax theme” do you have the Rss Feeds under the Section segment? if so, try setting the RSS feeds to something other than 0.
If you do not have the RSS feeds available, something must have gone wrong when the Lockinfo plugin got copied to the iPhone, or the theme is not correctly copied to the phone. Try deleting it from the iPhone and copy it again.
